Built for Florida. Backed for Life.
Marine-Grade Cabinetry, Built Into a Foundation We Engineer Ourselves
Most outdoor kitchens in South Florida aren't built for South Florida. They're indoor cabinets relocated outside, and Florida weather finds every weakness: Salt air corrodes the hardware, humidity swells the doors, and the storm that shows up in 90 seconds soaks whatever was left open. Give it a few years, and they’ll look like patio furniture nobody bothered to bring in. And almost none of the companies building them in South Florida are paver companies, which means they're all building on top of whatever is already there.
The homeowners who call us have usually learned this the hard way. They want it done right this time.
Palm Series is our outdoor kitchen system, built for Deck & Drive customers and installed nowhere else. It answers both problems at once: Every component is specified for this climate instead of adapted to it, and the whole thing sits on a base we engineer to carry it.
Deck & Drive has been building outdoor spaces across South Florida for 20+ years. We're the highest-rated and most referred paver installer in the area. Every project we complete is guaranteed for life.

Palm Series: Built for Decades, Not Seasons
Your house protects an indoor kitchen. An outdoor kitchen has no such protection. It takes the weather every day of the year, whether you're cooking that day or not, and that's a harder job than a cabinet was ever designed to do.
Our outdoor kitchens feature:
Marine-grade, weatherproof cabinetry
High-end stone and granite countertops
Professional-grade appliances
Construction engineered for heat, humidity, and rain
See Your Outdoor Kitchen Before We Build It
You shouldn't have to imagine the project you’re paying for.
With Deck & Drive, an expert designer will visit your home, take precise measurements, and walk you through stone and color options. Then, we’ll build a custom photorealistic 3D rendering of your actual space: your yard, materials, and layout. You’ll approve it before anyone touches the ground.

Kitchens Built Into the Foundation, Not Set On Top of It
A kitchen is only as good as what's under it.
Cabinetry, stone counters, appliances, and the gas, water, and power feeding all of it add up to real weight and a web of utility runs, and the surface underneath was never asked to carry any of that. Most companies don't ask. They build on top of whatever is already there, cut into a patio somebody else laid, and chase lines through it after the fact.
We build the base first, which means your kitchen is engineered into a PaverCraft foundation with load paths and utility routing planned before a single paver is set.
We've put more than 50 million pavers in the ground since 2006. We know what's under there because we put it there.
Appliances, Amenities, and Gas Connections

Your Palm Series kitchen is plumbed, gassed, and powered as part of the build. If it includes a gas grill, stove, or pizza oven, we run and connect those lines during installation and plan the routing before anything is set in place.
Options include:
Grills
Pizza ovens
Ovens and stoves
Additional burners
Bars
Refrigerators
Sinks
Dishwashers
Once the kitchen is finished, our cleaning and sealing service keeps the surrounding surfaces protected. If you’re thinking about the whole backyard rather than one corner of it, our outdoor living work covers how a kitchen integrates with a pergola, pool deck, or patio.

The Surface Around Your Kitchen
Bare concrete and turf don't survive grease, foot traffic, and 10 years of outdoor cooking.
We can install PaverCraft in the kitchen footprint as part of the same project, in concrete, natural stone, porcelain, Old Chicago brick, or Travertine. If you already have a patio or pool deck, we'll match it or complement it.
Every paver installation includes, at no extra charge:
Removal of your existing pavers
Weed barrier
Edge restraint
Professional clean and seal
Who Is Actually Responsible for Your Project?
Florida allows a contractor to work under a license it borrowed or bought from someone else. The practice is legal and common, which means much of this industry operates beyond the reach of a licensing board, a building inspector, or anyone you can hold responsible once the crew has gone home.
That matters when the job involves a gas line, a water line, and electrical service buried under a surface you paid for.
Splitting the project makes it worse. A typical outdoor build runs through four separate companies: one lays the pavers, one raises the pergola, one sets the kitchen, and one wires it. They keep separate schedules, they never designed anything together, and when the pieces don't line up, no one owns it.
Deck & Drive holds its own Florida general contractor license and builds complete outdoor spaces rather than single trades. Design, permitting, HOA approval, pavers, pergolas, and kitchens all run through a single company and a single build.

The Permitting and HOA Approval Process
An outdoor kitchen is a permanent structure with gas, water, and power running to it, which is why most South Florida municipalities require a permit before work starts. Requirements shift from one city to the next.
We prepare the application, file it with your municipality, and track it to approval before anyone shows up with equipment. If a city charges a fee, it reaches you at exactly what the city charged.
Your homeowners association is the second approval, and in this part of Florida, it's rarely optional. Almost every community operates under one, and a permanent structure with utility connections lands squarely inside architectural review. That's where most outdoor projects stall. Not because the project would be denied, but because the process is unfamiliar and the follow-up never ends.
We handle that too, at no charge. We prepare the documentation, submit it, respond to review requests, and stay on it until it clears. Approval averages about 15 days on our projects, and the signed approval reaches us before it reaches you.
How the Installation Process Works
We keep the process straightforward. Here's how an outdoor kitchen project typically moves from first conversation to finished build:
Consultation and Design
We walk your outdoor space with you, listen to how you plan to use it, and talk through appliance and amenity preferences. By the end of the visit, we’ll know how the kitchen should sit in your yard.
Measurement and Planning
We measure the space and map the full configuration. This is when we confirm utility requirements, including gas hookup logistics, and identify any site-specific factors that can affect the build.
Permits and HOA Approval
We prepare and submit both applications, then manage the follow-up until they clear. There's no cost to you for either one, and we build the approval timeline into the schedule from the start.
Build and Installation
We install the outdoor kitchen according to the approved plan. If you're adding pavers, we coordinate both scopes so the surface and structure come together as a finished space.
Financing Your Outdoor Kitchen Build
Financing is available on all outdoor kitchen projects, and more than half of our customers use it. Our “Pave Now, Pay Later” program means zero down and no payments for 12 months, so the project can move forward without requiring the full payment up front.

Common Questions About Outdoor Kitchen Installation
Yes, your HOA will likely need to approve an outdoor kitchen. Nearly every community in South Florida operates under an association, and a permanent structure with gas, water, and power falls inside architectural review.
Palm Series outdoor kitchens are constructed using marine-grade, weatherproof cabinetry with high-end stone and granite countertops. Appliances are professional-grade, specified for outdoor use rather than adapted to it.
Grills, pizza ovens, ovens and stoves, additional burners, bars, refrigerators, sinks, and dishwashers, combined in whatever arrangement fits your layout. We plan the plumbing, gas, and electrical during design so nothing has to be retrofitted later.
Yes. Your kitchen is plumbed, gassed, and powered as part of the build. If it includes a gas grill, stove, or pizza oven, we run and connect those lines during installation.
Pavers are part of most outdoor kitchen projects, and we install them as part of the same scope under our PaverCraft line. Building both together lets us engineer a load-ready base rather than setting a kitchen on a surface somebody else laid.
Every Deck & Drive project is guaranteed for life, and the guarantee is in writing. Your representative will walk through the terms during your consultation.
Prefabricated units cost less and look good in a showroom. The trouble starts after delivery. The materials aren't specified for salt air and humidity, the unit gets set down on whatever surface is already there, and gas, water, and power have to be run to it after the fact. Palm Series outdoor kitchens are made for the South Florida climate, built into bases engineered to carry them, and plumbed and wired as part of the installation.
